Before joining Central Dermatology Center, Allison practiced Dermatology in Atlanta, Georgia with special training in Pediatric Dermatology. Her professional interests include general and surgical dermatology, and she is thrilled to serve the people of central North Carolina.
She believes in treating the whole person, not just their symptoms, and strives to develop treatment plans with each patient’s unique needs and lifestyle in mind. She is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, and she is a member of the Society for Dermatology Physician Assistants and the American Association of Physician Assistants.
Allison is from Pinehurst, North Carolina and attended UNC-Chapel Hill prior to beginning a career in medicine. She graduated with honors from Emory University’s Physician Assistant Program, ranked #3 nationally by U.S. News and World Report, and also received a Master of Public Health degree in Behavioral Science and Health Education from Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health. She has worked on both local and international public health projects and has been published in peer-reviewed journals. She is an active member of American Associate of American Academy of Physician Assistants, the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
