Lasers are highly effective for reducing the appearance of spider veins, especially those on the face. Although many spas offer laser vein treatments, at The Skin Care and Laser Center of Central Dermatology in Chapel Hill, our board-certified dermatologists and trained medical spa staff have the experience and knowledge to ensure our patients receive the highest level of care.
If spider veins (telangiectasia) on your face or body make you self-conscious request an appointment online to learn more about vein treatment in the Raleigh-Durham area. Or call (919) 493-3194 to schedule an appointment at our Chapel Hill office. Laser vein treatment is also an alternative for veins that don’t respond to sclerotherapy.
Patients who receive any of the following treatments must use a broad spectrum sun block for several weeks to months before and during the treatments. We offer the following options to treat spider veins and areas of redness:
GentleMax Pro® System – Helps to diminish unwanted rosacea, facial veins and spider veins on legs. Most will require 3-4 treatments spaced 1 month apart. The dual wavelength laser targets the tiny capillaries on the face or broken capillaries on the legs causing them to collapse and are unable to refill. This will result in less redness and may completely remove the spider veins on the legs. The patient will feel a rubber band snap sensation during the treatment. Post treatment you can expect slightly red or sensitive skin, similar to a sunburn. You will notice the veins healing over a 6 week period of time. It is important to have a full consultation prior to this appointment.
Palomar Icon™ – Our Icon system represents one of the most advanced aesthetic laser treatment systems available. The single platform supports multiple treatment options and includes patented innovations such as the Skintel Melanin Reader and Advanced Contact Cooling™ to enhance your comfort and protect your skin during treatments. The Icon clears facial vessels and pigmentation, treats acne and other scars, reduces wrinkles, and minimizes stretch marks and leg veins.
