UPDATED – March 24, 2020
To our valued patients and their families:
As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to adversely affect our community, for the health and safety of our patients and our staff, we feel that it is necessary to limit in office visits to urgent or priority needs only. For routine visits, we are offering Telehealth to our patients. For those visits that cannot be addressed via Telehealth, such as Total Body Skin Cancer Screenings, we will postpone your appointment until after May 1. During this time frame we have reduced or modified our hours of operation as follows:
Chapel Hill, Cary and Sanford locations: 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday – Friday
Raleigh location: 8:30am to 11:30am Tuesday – Thursday
Skin Care & Laser Center: 9:00am to 4:00pm – Curbside/no touch product pick-up only
For those patients who do need to come to our offices for urgent or priority visits, we will continue to implement enhanced protocols with additional precautions including:
- Screening Questions: All patients will be asked a series of screening questions prior to check-in and if the responses indicate that you are in a high-risk group for Coronavirus (COVID-19), your appointment will be rescheduled.
- Temperature screening: All patients will have their temperature checked upon arrival to each of our offices before the check-in process. Any patient with a fever will be rescheduled for a future visit. We will make case-by-case exceptions for patients who have possible skin infections.
- Limitations on Guests/Companions: Maximum of one (1) guest or companion per patient. We strongly recommend that this person wait outside or in their vehicle, not inside the office or examination rooms unless this person is supervising a minor patient, or needed to assist with mobility or translation.
To determine if your visit can be addressed by Telehealth or to reschedule or cancel an appointment, you may contact us as follows:
We also want our patients to feel comfortable exercising their judgment about their own health or their health of their family. We are waiving cancellation fees for all patients at this time.
As the situation continues to change and evolve on a daily basis, any changes to our policies or any decisions that impact our ability to care for our patients will be communicated to you as rapidly as possible.
