Amanda Barfield

Amanda is a native of Nashville, Tennessee and moved to the Raleigh-Durham area in 2019. Amanda graduated summa cum laude from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012. She later returned to Belmont University where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Family Medicine in 2015.

Amanda is Board Certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has been an active member of the Tennessee Army National Guard since 2010 and is now a member of the Army Reserve. Amanda commissioned as a Nurse Corps Officer in 2012 through Vanderbilt University's Army ROTC program.

Amanda has been caring for dermatology patients since 2013: as a registered nurse and a nurse practitioner. She has a passion for atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne vulgaris, skin cancer surveillance, and medical aesthetics.
Amanda enjoys yoga, exercising, hiking, and experiencing new restaurants. She lives in Apex with her husband, son and dog. Amanda also enjoys professional sports and is a fan of the Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators.
