Dr. Beth G. Goldstein

Dr. Beth G. GoldsteinDr. Beth Goldstein is the founding partner of Central Dermatology Center with offices serving Sanford, Raleigh, Cary, Pittsboro, Durham, Chapel Hill, and Fuquay-Varina, NC.  She is the co-author of two editions of Practical Dermatology (St. Louis, Mosby) and is topic editor on multiple chapters with one of the most prestigious online evidence-based resources for clinicians, UpToDate, for many years. She continues to publish research and is frequently sought out and quoted by the media as a top expert in her field.  She currently serves on the Practice Management Committee of the American Academy of Dermatology and has served on the Board of the American Society for Mohs Surgery.

As a dermatologist serving patients in our Sanford and Chapel Hill office locations, Dr. Goldstein focuses on treating skin cancer and emphasizes providing the best experience and outcome possible for her patients. When she moved to Chapel Hill as a dermatologist more than 33 years ago, she knew that treating skin cancer was one of the most gratifying aspects of her practice. For many years she desired to learn more surgical skills and get training in Mohs surgery, which is one of the most effective techniques available for treating skin cancers.

With more than 30 years of dermatology experience, she has developed a focus on surgical dermatology, performing Mohs surgery in a quiet, comfortable setting. It’s her passion to educate patients about not only the prevention of skin cancer, but also its early detection when treatment is much more effective and less disfiguring. She also focuses on educating patients about avoiding further sun damage to their skin.

While her focus is now primarily surgical, she is still involved in treating medical dermatology patients of all ages and diagnoses as a supervising physician of our excellent physician assistants and nurse practitioners. She also continues to perform aesthetic surgeries, chemical peels, and consults on other aesthetic procedures.

If you’d like to meet with board-certified dermatologist Dr. Beth Goldstein for a Mohs or Skin Cancer consultation, she sees patients at our Chapel Hill and Sanford office locations. You can book online, submit an appointment request, or call Central Dermatology Center at 919-401-1994 to schedule an appointment.
