Dr. Carolyn A. Hardin

 Dr. Carolyn A. Hardin Dr. Carolyn Hardin is a Mohs surgeon serving patients in Cary and Raleigh, NC. Originally from Durham, NC, she received her bachelor’s degree from Duke University. She obtained her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida, then completed her transitional internship and dermatology residency in San Antonio, Texas, and fellowship in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

Dr. Hardin served on Active Duty in the US Army until 2025. Her roles included the Chief of Dermatology at the 121 Combat Support Hospital in Seoul, South Korea as well as Associate Program Director and Director of Dermatologic Surgery for the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium dermatology residency. She deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as the Medical Officer In Charge for the 403D Civil Affairs Battalion Functional Specialty Team at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti, Africa. She is the recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, and Overseas Service Ribbon, among other awards.

Dr. Hardin is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American College of Mohs surgeons. She enjoys treating skin cancer and performing reconstructive surgery. She is a mother of two boys.
