Lisa Harewood, PA-C
Lisa is a native of Franklin, Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Norfolk State University. She went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from Eastern Virginia Medical School. Lisa then completed her Physician Assistant training and Master of Health Sciences degree from Duke University in 2000.
Lisa began her physician assistant career in Internal Medicine and then moved on to Family Medicine where she also worked with the Duke University Physician Assistant Program. Lisa began practicing Dermatology in 2005. Her clinical interests include skin cancer surveillance, dermatologic surgery, pediatric dermatology, and the treatment of skin of color.
Lisa is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, Diversity in Dermatology, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Lisa lives in Durham with her husband and three sons. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
