Our Lasers

Candela GentleMax Pro® – This laser is used to remove superficial pigment by selectively targeting the unwanted pigment in the skin with laser light. The pigment absorbs the light and heats up, resulting in the body shedding or reabsorbing the pigment over several weeks. Treatments are very fast and only mildly uncomfortable. The sensation feels warm to hot. Post treatment you can expect slightly red or pink sensitive skin (the sensation is similar to sunburn) with the pigment appearing much darker, or grey. It is important to not scratch or remove darkened pigment prematurely, rather allow it to come away naturally. Treatment is very fast and effective. Most require only 1 – 2 treatments to completely clear the pigment. For deeper pigment, 3 or more treatments may be required. Conditions treated include:

• Freckles
• Sunspots
• Liver spots
• Seborrhoea Keratosis
• Birthmarks
• Melasma

Thermage®: Instead of using light energy, Thermage® uses radiofrequency technology to tighten skin. Radiofrequency energy works into the deeper layers of skin without doing harm to the upper levels.
