Our Lasers

Candela GentleMax Pro® – This versatile laser is used to perform multiple treatments including Laser Hair Removal and Laser Skin Rejuvenation treatments at our Chapel Hill office location and the removal of superficial pigment.

Laser Skin Rejuvenation treatments improve skin quality by stimulating collagen and elastin production to target fine lines, wrinkles, and pore size. They are typically performed in a series and are safe for treatment year-round for all skin types including sensitive, combination, acne-prone, and rosacea-prone skin without any downtime.

Removal of superficial pigment is performed by selectively targeting the unwanted pigment in the skin with laser light. The pigment absorbs the light and heats up, resulting in the pigment presenting at the surface of the skin and sloughing away with natural skin cell turnover. Treatments are quick and easy with mild heat discomfort. For noticeable improvement, up to 3 treatments are recommended. Post treatment you can expect slightly red or pink sensitive skin (the sensation is similar to sunburn) with the pigment appearing much darker, or grey. It is important to not scratch or remove darkened pigment prematurely, rather allow it to come away naturally.

Conditions treated include:

  • Freckles
  • Sunspots
  • Liver spots
  • Seborrhoea Keratosis
  • Birthmarks
  • Melasma

Thermage®: Instead of using light energy, Thermage® uses radiofrequency technology to tighten skin. Radiofrequency energy works into the deeper layers of skin without doing harm to the upper levels. This treatment is currently offered at our Fuquay-Varina office location.
