What Is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a process of creating tiny punctures in the skin to trigger a healing response that results in firmer, clearer skin. We use the advanced Rejuvapen device for microneedling.

The small, pen-shaped Rejuvapen device uses 9 tiny microneedles that penetrate the skin as a trained provider moves the device around the treatment area. The pinpoint holes are so small they can’t be seen, but they trigger the skin’s natural healing process. The skin then creates its own new stores of collagen and elastin, 2 of the fundamental building blocks of smooth, healthy skin.

Recovery After a Microneedling Procedure

You may feel a mild sensation similar to a sunburn following a microneedling treatment. Skin tightness and the tingly, warm feeling gradually diminish and typically are gone 24 hours after the treatment. Avoid using makeup during this time and keep your face and hands clean.

Results appear gradually after treatment as the healing process stimulated by the microneedling occurs, boosting your skin’s strength. Expect to see the final results approximately 3 months after the procedure. A series of 4 to 6 treatments is typically expected.

What Is Microneedling with PRP/PRFM?

The addition of PRP/PRFM (platelet rich plasma/platelet rich fibrin matrix) allows us to maximize the results of your Microneedling treatments. It harnesses the power of your body’s self-repairing properties and your blood’s platelets to rejuvenate skin and strengthen cellular turnover. The incorporation of PRP/PRFM provides us with the unique ability to increase collagen and elastin production and to decrease the healing time experienced after your treatment.
