Dr. William Delgado
William Delgado, MD is a fellowship-trained, dual board-certified
dermatologist and Mohs micrographic surgeon with decades of experience. He has
performed tens of thousands of Mohs procedures over the course of his career.
He is widely recognized for his expertise in the surgical management of skin
cancer, including complex and high-risk cases, and for his commitment to
delivering safe, precise, and patient-centered care.
Prior to his role with Central Dermatology, Dr. Delgado spent nearly a quarter of a century in private practice in Bend, OR, where he played a central role in growing a single-site, three-provider practice into a multi-city organization with more than a dozen providers. He served as managing partner for a majority of his tenure and was instrumental in establishing additional service lines, including medical aesthetics and an in-house histology processing laboratory.
Dr. Delgado quickly became the one of the highest-volume Mohs surgeons across Oregon and Washington during his time as his previous practice. He has also implemented efficiency and workflow standards that significantly improved productivity while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and outcomes.
Dr. Delgado completed a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) under the supervision of Dr. Neil Swanson, following his dermatology residency at OHSU. He earned his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Willamette University.
He chose medicine as a career because he truly wanted to help people, and he still loves his job for the same reason. He is known for his thoughtful clinical judgment, comforting, friendly demeanor, technical excellence, and collaborative approach with referring physicians. He is passionate about his craft and patient care while fostering efficient, patient-focused clinical environments.
He and his wife, Beth, have three wonderful adult children and are looking forward to this new opportunity to explore all that North Carolina has to offer.
